Auxlo Terms of Service
Effective date: June 2, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Auxlo website and the free tools on it, including the compliance readiness assessment. Please read them before using the site. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About Auxlo and these terms
Auxlo ("Auxlo," "we," "our," or "us") is a Canadian compliance advisory practice. These terms cover the website only. Any paid engagement is governed by a separate written agreement between you and Auxlo, and that agreement, not these terms, sets out the scope, deliverables, fees, and obligations of the engagement.
2. Informational purpose
The content on this website, including framework explanations, regulatory references, and resources, is provided for general information. It reflects our understanding at the time of writing and may change as laws and standards change. It is not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your situation, and it is not legal advice. You should verify regulatory matters with qualified legal counsel before acting.
3. The free assessment
The free compliance assessment uses your answers to generate an indicative readiness snapshot and a high-level roadmap. It is a starting point, not a professional audit, a gap assessment, a certification, or legal advice. It covers selected high-level areas and cannot capture everything a full engagement would. Results are provided as-is, for your information, and should not be relied on as a definitive measure of compliance. A complete assessment is performed during a paid engagement.
4. No professional relationship from website use
Using the website, requesting the assessment, or contacting us does not by itself create an advisory, consulting, or other professional relationship. A relationship begins only when you and Auxlo enter a signed engagement agreement.
5. Intellectual property
The website and its content, including text, design, logos, and the Auxlo and MapleGuard marks, are owned by Auxlo or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and share the content for your own informational use. You may not copy, republish, sell, or create derivative works from it without our written permission, except as allowed by law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the website lawfully and not to:
- Interfere with or disrupt the site or its security.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems.
- Use the site to send unlawful, harmful, or misleading content.
- Scrape or harvest content or data except as expressly permitted.
7. Third-party links and services
The website may link to third-party sites or use third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Your use of a third-party site or service is governed by that party's own terms.
8. Disclaimers
The website is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current, or that the information on it is complete or accurate for your specific circumstances.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auxlo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or the free assessment. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Liability arising from a paid engagement is addressed in the engagement agreement, not here.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Auxlo harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the website or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to the website or these terms, subject to any right you have under applicable law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our website or the law changes. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
